HLC charts display the high, low and closing prices for a security (for intraday charts, the closing price is taken to be the last price at which a transaction in a security took place).

• The top of each vertical line shows the high price.

• The bottom of the vertical line shows the low price.

• The short horizontal marker to the right of the vertical line shows the closing price (for intraday charts, the closing price is taken to be the last price at which a transaction in a security took place).
