Common Base Charts

Viewing Price Changes in Percentages

The Common Base function displays the closing prices for a security in terms of percentages, with the initial price in the selected chart period set to 100% (for intraday charts, the closing price is taken to be the last price at which a transaction in a security took place). This function is particularly useful when comparing securities.

The screen shot below charts the SGB security price with the initial price starting at 100%.
